This antique wood and metal barrel style butter churn dates back to the early 1900's. The wooden paddles inside the churn would "clap" together when the crank is turned, creating butter from the cream. The larger paddle is attached and the small paddle is removable (as pictured). There is some damage to the one corner on the opening of the churn (as pictured). If you view the video you will see that the crank and large paddle are working, although it does stick a little near the top.
